Junior Automation Engineer
Scispot is hiring a Junior Automation Engineer to help build the systems and workflows that make our teams more efficient, connected, and scalable.
You will work closely with our operations and GTM teams to turn manual processes into reliable automations. Your primary tools will be HubSpot, n8n, and AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and Claude.
This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly, and building practical automation systems.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain workflow automations in n8n.
- Configure and improve HubSpot workflows, CRM processes, lead routing, notifications, property updates, and reporting support.
- Use Cursor and Claude to write, troubleshoot, and improve JavaScript, API requests, and data transformations.
- Connect business tools through APIs, webhooks, and integrations to reduce manual work and improve data quality.
- Work with sales, customer success, marketing, operations, and product teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
- Document workflows and processes so they are clear, maintainable, and scalable.
- Monitor automations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve existing systems.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, including workflows, properties, lists, pipelines, and CRM processes.
- Hands-on experience building workflows in n8n.
- Experience using Cursor for coding, debugging, or building automation-related solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
Everything else can be taught. We care most about curiosity, ownership, practical technical ability, and the motivation to build better systems.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting business operations, revenue operations, sales operations, or customer success operations.
- Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, JSON, JavaScript, or other automation platforms.
- Experience working in a SaaS, biotech, or life sciences environment.
